Social class
Shows social class through the opinions of upper class people being quite rude and snotty towards the lower class who are trying to climb 'the ladder' of success e.g. when they are discussing his review the more successful man tries to make him feel really embarrassed and bad about his career. This shows the difference between the attitudes of each person. Race and ethnicity
Not many different ethnic groups. Shows that this may be a fairly high class club where black people may not be able to afford to go. Also the scene is not typical of a usual place e.g. London where there would be a bigger range of races.
